Austin P. MillerAssociate Attorney
Austin grew up in the Joliet area, was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2020, and joined KGG in February 2021. He has already distinguished himself as an adept advocate in the courtroom, winning dismissals in traffic court and obtaining an arbitration award in his client’s favor in an arbitration hearing. He currently dedicates his energy toward corporate counseling, residential and commercial real estate, estate planning, estate administration, and subrogation.
While in law school, Austin was named volunteer of the year for assisting pro se litigants at the Self-Help Web Center. The Chicago-Kent Public Interest Resource Center recognized Austin for his volunteer work throughout the 2018-19 school year. He also earned a business law certificate, highlighting his proficiency and scholarship in that area of the law.
Austin embarked upon his legal career as an extern for the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office, where his responsibilities included providing research essential to the successful prosecution of criminal offenders. He also served as a mediator, guiding litigants through negotiations in small claims court. As a law clerk for the Chicago-Kent Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, he partnered with experienced professors to advise small business owners regarding regulatory and contract issues. Austin has also clerked at a boutique law firm handling consumer bankruptcy cases.
