Nicole Johs concentrates in trial and appeal of civil cases. Her practice focuses on representation of physicians and hospitals in medical negligence claims and nursing homes in Nursing Home Care Act claims. She also represents defendants in litigation involving construction defects and accidents, premises liability and high value motor vehicle accidents. Ms. Johs has presented over fifty cases for mandatory arbitration and tried over twenty cases to jury verdict. She has negotiated numerous cases to settlement through non-binding mediation. Ms. Johs has drafted and successfully argued several summary judgment motions. She has also drafted and successfully argued appeals of those summary judgment orders.
Ms. Johs regularly appears in the Circuit Courts of Cook, Will, DuPage, Kane, LaSalle, Grundy, Kankakee and McHenry counties. She has briefed and argued cases before the Illinois Appellate Courts in the First, Second and Third Districts.
