Edward J. OedzesOf Counsel
Edward has a broad practice, encompassing orders of protection, family law, criminal defense, traffic matters, evictions, subrogation, and civil litigation generally. He is eager to help you with whatever legal needs you have.
Edward was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. He graduated from Benet Academy in Lisle and then went on to complete his undergraduate education at Villanova University.
After working in the business sector, Edward went on to obtain his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He garnered criminal law experience while still in school by interning with the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office. Upon graduation from law school, he served as in-house counsel in the meat packing industry, working to obtain fair and just application of federal rules and guidelines with agencies in Washington, D.C, before turning his focus to working locally in Joliet.
In 2025, Edward joined KGG with a wealth of experience that includes representing defendants on DUI, misdemeanor, and felony cases. He has also been successful in hearings before the Secretary of State to recover driving privileges for clients. His practice extends to family law, where he has handled cases involving divorce, maintenance, child support, visitation rights, and child custody. Edward focuses particularly in representing clients in cases seeking Orders of Protection or No Contact Orders. His commitment to understanding the unique facts and circumstances of each case enables him to effectively represent each client in court.
