Adam Holzhauer

Mr. Holzhauer attended Lewis & Clark Law School and graduated magna cum laude in May 2023. He is excited to start his legal career at KGG.  He began at KGG first as a legal assistant immediately after taking the bar exam and gained valuable experience in that capacity.  He now practices as an associate attorney after being sworn in as an Illinois licensed attorney in November 2023. His practice focus is in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, zoning, estate planning, and business transactions.

While studying at Lewis & Clark, Mr. Holzhauer counseled clients at the Small Business Legal Clinic.  There, he honed his legal research and legal drafting skills and successfully evaluated the legal needs of clients and offered solutions.  He drafted construction contracts and a memorandum of law that provided guidance regarding compliance with import and export regulations.  He also completed a remote externship at Earth Law Center, where he assisted a non-profit land trust in preparing a farm lease consistent with its environmental advocacy goals. Mr. Holzhauer was awarded the Larry Kressel Memorial Scholarship, which recognizes an outstanding student in the area of land use.

In his final year at Lewis & Clark, he served as a research assistant for Professor Samir Parikh. Mr. Holzhauer researched trends in leveraged buyouts and their relation to a provision of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code for Professor Parikh’s upcoming article for the Pennsylvania Law Review entitled “Financial Disequilibrium.”

While completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Holzhauer was chosen to be a teaching assistant for a deductive logic course, showcasing his valuable critical thinking skills which are essential to the practice of law.

In his free time, Mr. Holzhauer enjoys playing the guitar and writing songs. He has been playing guitar since high school, but he still considers himself a novice.
