Mark E. FlagelAssociate Attorney
Mark is a civil litigator with experience handling a wide range of cases, both torts and commercial disputes. He has managed cases involving personal injury, property damage, legal malpractice, insurance coverage, shareholder disputes, breach of contract, product liability, construction accidents, defamation, breach of fiduciary duties, and securities litigation.
He began building practical experience while still studying law at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (previously known as John Marshall Law School) when he was selected to work as a legal extern for the Honorable Michael B. Hyman of the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. As a judicial extern, he acquired invaluable experience on a broad range of case types, as well as gaining insight into a perspective from the bench. He also served as an intern with Illinois Legal Aid Online, addressing an entirely different range of legal issues and helping those who otherwise might not be able to obtain needed legal assistance.
Since graduating law school, Mark has successfully ushered several cases through binding arbitration and has secured favorable settlements for his clients. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad spectrum of cases. He has also represented individuals before regulatory boards.
Mark is actively involved in his local community. Since 2022, he has also served on the Judicial Evaluation Committee for the Chicago Bar Association. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, following Chicago sports teams, and spending time with his family.
